For the Think Party you are requested to choose a topic that is of interest to you that you maybe have been meaning to research, or something you would like to know about. Please spend some time researching this topic. "Modern research is an exciting field." This research can be done at a library or online or at an online library site; there are probably a couple other ways to research. Please research something that is interesting to you, but maybe not something you already know about or and also maybe not something you have to research for other more contexted reasons.
You do not have to be an expert. We will all be informed lay people. We will not make you feel bad if you don't know everything about a topic ("I pledge not to make anyone feel bad for not knowing everything there is to know about their topic"). But then again, the more you know, the more you can contribute; please feel free to bring notes.
n We will all come and eat food -- bring food or drink if you can or would like to; that will make it better; not required; Information is Required.
n We will have a discussion, combing and combining information; make connections among information; possibly creating or solving some problems. We will come out of this better than we entered it.
The goal is manifold:
g To spread the onus of information-gathering and share the wealth of information gathered.
g To infuse pleasant sociality with the exhilaration of new intelligence.
g To create an information sculpture
g To casually and lovingly explore the possibilities of experimental conversation.
thank you. this will be great.
